New Year’s Resolutions: Terriers’ “Ins and Outs” for 2024
New year, new me! Terriers have some big plans for 2024
The new year oftentimes feels like a fresh start—it is the time to refocus on past goals and set new ones. People often go into the new year hoping that the coming year will be better or more productive than the last.
As a college student, your years at school are based on setting goals and finishing them. For example, most students work hard to do well in their courses, make connections, and graduate. To get there, though, self-reflection and setting your own goals are important.
To ring in 2024, Terriers share what will be in during 2024 and what they want to leave behind:

Abigail Dereje (ENG’25)
In: Focusing on my passions (like relearning piano).
Out: Having no time for myself.

Alua Tulbassova (CAS’25)
In: Reading more and learning the basics of a new coding language.
Out: Wasting time.

Kwasi Antwi (CAS’25)
In: Expanding my appreciation for different art forms and spending quality time with friends.
Out: Not leaving time for the things I want to do.

Hermela Haile (Questrom’25)
In: Prioritizing self-care.
Out: Focusing too much on the bigger picture and losing sight of the small wins.

Robin Kim (CAS’24, COM’24)
In: Living in the moment.
Out: Anticipating future events.

Gavin Cheng (Questrom’25, COM’25)
In: Learning how to cook.
Out: Skipping the gym when I’m not feeling up to it.
Happy New Year, Terriers! Here’s to a happy and healthy 2024. 🥂
