Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, but this weekend is packed with preholiday fun. Head to the STEM Career Fair for an afternoon of networking and connecting with employers and fellow professionals. Want to let loose? Check out K-Pop Night at the Red Room at Cafe 939. If that’s not enough, the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers go head-to-head in Super Bowl LVIII. There’s an exciting weekend ahead, Terriers!

BU STEM Career Fair
Looking for an opportunity to network with employers and other STEM professionals? The College of Engineering is hosting the BU STEM Career Fair to connect students with current internships and full-time positions. Important note: professional attire is required, so visit the Professional Clothing Closet to be networking-ready.

BU Men’s Ice Hockey vs. Merrimack
The Terriers hit the ice to take on the Merrimack Warriors at Agganis Arena, so get ready to show your BU spirit and have the chance to win the special crew socks giveaway. Ranked third in the country, the Terriers are sure to play a good game you won’t want to miss.

Cinematheque: An Evening with Jeremy Webb
Cinematheque, an event series offered by the College of Communication’s film and television department, is back, this time hosting BAFTA- and Emmy-nominated director Jeremy Webb. Fans of TV dramas he’s directed—such as Downton Abbey, Masters of Sex, Doctor Who, The Umbrella Academy, and The Last of Us—will have the opportunity to hear all about the creative vision behind their favorite episodes. The event will be hosted by Tim Palmer, a COM professor of cinematography.

14th Annual “Some Like It Hot” Chili Cookoff
The beloved Harvard Square mainstay is back again, with participating local restaurants dishing out bowls of their best chili to lucky locals. Taste each batch and vote on your favorite. The winning establishment will be bestowed the highly coveted Harvard Square Chili Pot and earn bragging rights for a full year. A word to the heat-conscious: this year’s event promises to be “spicier than ever before”—so come prepared.

K-Pop Night
K-pop fans, get ready to take over the Red Room at Cafe 939. Not only can you hear your favorite songs from BTS, BLACKPINK, TWICE, and more, but you’ll also get to watch as dance groups from across Boston take the stage for electrifying cover performances. Prepare for a night of dancing and singing with fellow K-pop lovers. Tickets can be purchased at the door, but buying them in advance is highly recommended.

Super Bowl LVIII
The biggest sporting event of the year is here! Though the Patriots aren’t playing, Boston is still gearing up to watch the Kansas City Chiefs face off against the San Francisco 49ers. Fenway is packed with sports bars and is the best destination for fans craving some food and drinks while they watch. Cask ’n Flagon has special tailgate platters available on game day, no reservation required. Or, stay in and grab some takeout from Raising Cane’s on campus (ordering ahead is highly recommended). Pro tip: BU students have access to free live TV streaming with Xfinity On Campus. Just log in using your BU email and password.
Super Bowl LVIII begins at 6:30 pm EST on Sunday, February 11.
