There is 1 comment on Would Japanese Ownership of US Steel Really be a National Security Threat?

  1. I disagree with your opinion on the national security beliefs. . My background is in the machining trade . I have manufactured many parts used in the aerospace industry . Not only is there the sale of material . There is the quality of the product . Trade secrets and such .
We had to keep strict controls on our products to the point of where the ore came from the ground and had paperwork stating as such which is critical to the performance demanded by the government !!! I’m not sure how much of the steel produced is for defense but I am not comfortable with a foreign entity having control of vital steel manufacturing secrets ! Military , nasa , aerospace etc … that is the place national security comes into play !!!
