Lecture topics and assigned problems

In this semester we cover McQuarrie et al., chapters 1 through 14. A PDF with the detailed (tentative) schedule of lecture topics that will be covered in each MWF and TR lecture (including pre-lecture video assignments that are due can be downloaded here: Detailed Lecture Schedule (updated: 21 October 2022).

The requried homework problems assigned for each chapter will be listed below:

  • These are the end-of-chapter Problems.
  • While these will not be collected, these problems will prepare you for the assessments in the course (quizzes and final exam). Solve these problems in your course notebook.
  • Answer to most of the even-numbered problems are in the Appendix at the back of the book
  • We also recommend working through the in-chapter Examples and Practice problems as you're reading through the sections in preparation for lecutre

The lab schedule is posted on Blackboard under Lab Content.
