SHA Now Offers Two Optional Concentrations for Hospitality Students

Beginning in fall 2016, The School of Hospitality Administration will offer two optional degree concentrations to students who wish to further customize their hospitality administration degree. Students can choose to concentrate in Hospitality Marketing or Event Management. These concentrations will allow for additional exploration into these sectors of the hospitality industry:

Hospitality Marketing: The concentration is appropriate for students planning a career in sales, brand management, integrated marketing communications, hospitality distribution, digital marketing, marketing research/consumer insights, and consulting.

Event Management: Career paths include corporate and association planning, as well as positions in special event companies and intermediary or third party planning companies.

Each concentration will consist of 12 elective credits and it is strongly encouraged that students declare their Concentration by the first semester of their junior year.

Students who are interested in learning more about the optional concentrations and their requirements should review these details and consult with the SHA Director of Student Services.
