BU Hospitality Alumni Support No Kid Hungry with BU Global Days of Service
On Monday, April 24, 2017, Phoenix Porcelli (SHA ’11) and Leslie Lone (SHA ’06) joined fellow BU alumni to volunteer at Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry in New York City. The No Kid Hungry campaign connects kids in need with nutritious food and teaches their families how to cook healthy, affordable meals. The campaign also engages the public to make ending child hunger a national priority. The fundraising event featured some of the city’s finest chefs, sommeliers and mixologists. As part of BU’s Global Days of Service, alumni volunteered their time to make the evening a huge success including logistics and guest support, and assisting chefs with their station set-up.
