Boston, MA – Denise M. Dupré has been appointed to the Advisory Board of Boston University School of Hospitality Administration (BU SHA). Dupré joins the Advisory Board as the school embarks on its 40th anniversary, marking its founding in 1981.

“We’re elated to have Denise join our Advisory Board,” said Arun Upneja, PhD., Dean of Boston University School of Hospitality Administration. “As one of the first directors around the time of SHA’s founding, Denise brings perspective from the school’s earliest days. In addition to her extensive experience and entrepreneurship in the global hotel and restaurant segments of the industry, Denise is respected widely for her long-standing dedication, in both her career and philanthropic efforts, in support of education.”

Denise Dupré is the founder and managing partner of Champagne Hospitality, a hotel design and development company. Her teams at two properties, The Royal Champagne and Le Barthélemy, recently won a “Conde Nast #1” ranking in their regions: in Europe and the Caribbean. Denise has worked extensively in the hotel and restaurant sectors, including roles in marketing, consulting, and operations for public and private hotel companies. She has also held teaching positions at Cornell School of Hospitality Administration, Boston University School of Hospitality Administration, and Harvard University. Denise has also contributed to a number of schools in a volunteer capacity. She is a former trustee of Dartmouth College, Teach for All, the Noble and Greenough School, and the Charles River School. She is the former chair of the board of the Mercersburg Academy and the Fessenden School. She currently serves on the Harvard Business School Board of Dean’s Advisors and the Board of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.

“I am honored to join the BU SHA Advisory Board,” said Denise Dupré. “Boston University School of Hospitality Administration equips undergraduate and graduate students to meet the challenges of the ever-changing and exciting world of hospitality. It’s fulfilling to support SHA’s mission to inspire and develop hospitality leaders who will innovate the business with their ideas, passion, and expertise. I’m invigorated by the opportunities ahead of us.”
