Boston University School of Hospitality Administration has named Martha J. Sheridan, President & CEO of Meet Boston, the 2025 recipient of its prestigious ICON Award—honoring her visionary leadership in reshaping Boston’s tourism landscape. Presented at the School’s annual Hospitality Leadership Summit, the ICON Award recognizes an “Experience Innovator” who sets new standards in the industry.
“Through her visionary leadership, Martha has redefined what it means to create truly memorable experiences,” said Arun Upneja, Ph.D., Dean of BU SHA. Sheridan, who has secured major events like the FIFA World Cup 2026 and the 2023 Army-Navy Game for the region, responded: “I’m incredibly honored… These major events bring residents and visitors together in a unifying spirit that benefits everyone.”
