May Chow (SHA ’07) Voted Asia’s Best Female Chef 2017
Today it was announced that May Chow (SHA ’07) was voted Asia’s Best Female Chef 2017. The award is presented by Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants and voted for by 300 chefs, restaurateurs, journalists, and bloggers. Chow is the chef and owner of Little Bao in Hong Kong and Second Draft in Tai Hang.
In 2009, May returned to Hong Kong where she grew up and began working for Chef Que Vinh Dang and Chef Matt Abergel. After testing out her bao-burger concept at a farmers market in 2012, she opened her brick-and-mortar Little Bao in Hong Kong in October 2013. She has traveled the world to represent Hong Kong in various food festivals, and served as a guest judge on MasterChef Asia.
