At Boston University School of Hospitality Administration (SHA), we are dedicated to ensuring that our master’s degree in hospitality management is a smart investment in your career advancement and personal growth. To help you budget for your educational expenses, we provide detailed information about the Master of Management in Hospitality (MMH), MS in Hospitality Real Estate (MSHRE), and MS in Hospitality Management (MSHM) programs’ tuition, fees, and other expenses ranging from books and supplies to housing and transportation.

BU SHA also offers scholarships and financial aid options to help you afford your education and pursue your dreams with a hospitality graduate degree. If you are a domestic student pursuing a graduate degree, you may be eligible for Federal Financial Aid. Please check out our Federal Loan page.

Scholarships

To help you pay for your tuition and expenses for one of our hospitality graduate programs, BU SHA provides scholarship funding to all admitted students.

$10,000 GUARANTEED SCHOLARSHIPS FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS

Merit-based scholarships are available to both full-time and part-time students, domestic and international. All students admitted into the Master of Management in Hospitality, MS in Hospitality Real Estate, or MS in Hospitality Management program are guaranteed to receive at least $10,000 in scholarship funding. Additional scholarship funding will be awarded based on the merit of the application. Please note that fully funding scholarships are not available. Students are encouraged to submit their application by the next upcoming Priority deadline for additional scholarship funding consideration. Applicants are encouraged to review all upcoming priority admissions deadlines on our Apply Now page.

Students enrolled in either the Graduate Certificate in Hospitality Management or Graduate Certificate in Advanced Hospitality Management are not eligible for scholarships.

Tuition and Expenses for Full-time Master of Management in Hospitality Students

If you plan to enroll as a full-time MMH student, here is a breakdown of billed and estimated expenses for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Tuition rates for the 2025 – 2026 academic year will be announced in April 2025.

If you register for more than 18 credits in a Fall/Spring term, you are charged $2,083 per credit for the overage. This requires approval from the Direct of Academic Services, Graduate Admissions, Enrollment.

Massachusetts law requires all students enrolled in at least 75% of the full-time curriculum to have medical insurance. Students who cannot demonstrate coverage under a qualifying medical insurance plan are required to purchase the University’s student health insurance plan, which is due and payable with your first-semester charges. Tuition and Expenses for Part-time Students

If you are a part-time student pursuing one of our graduate degrees or graduate certificate programs, completing 8 credits or less per semester, you are charged the per-credit rate during the semester in which you are registered.

Fall/Spring 2024-2025 – $2,083 per credit

All graduate courses are 4 credits each.

Part-Time Students, completing 8 credits or less per semester, are eligible for payment plans through the university. You can learn more about this pay as you go option on the Student Accounts website.
