Alphy has had a career spanning over 45 years, having worked in 10 countries, opened 12 hotels, and enjoyed every second of it. He obtained his BSc. degree from the Conrad N. Hilton College at the University of Houston and his MBA from Glion, the Swiss hotel school. 

He successfully provided; strategic, development, contract, pre-opening, operations support and crisis leadership for clients in North and Central America, Middle East and Asia. While working for Rosewood Hotels, Westin and Nikko, he specialized in creating high-performance service teams in multi-cultural environments, Brand Architecture for startup hotel companies, and mentoring hotel GMs and executives, particularly through crises. During the last 8 years, he has been advising hotel Owners, in his capacity of President, International Hospitality Advisor. 

Alphy has been practicing his passion for teaching as a Senior Lecturer at Glion Institute of Higher Education for the last seven years. Teaching; Property & Asset Management, Feasibility Study Preparation, Managerial Finance, Revenue Management, Resort Development, MBA, MSc. and Undergraduate courses.
