Job After Graduation – Associate Editor at America’s Test Kitchen

Hospitality brings together multiple areas of interest for me—people, food, and business. My culinary background gave me a solid foundation. While I was familiar with the operations side of the industry, I wanted to learn more about finance, marketing, and leadership. That’s where SHA came in.  BU SHA is one of the best hospitality institutions in the country, and I’d heard about its stellar reputation for years before I applied. I wanted to learn about hospitality administration from the best professors available and that’s at SHA.

While I remain in a similar role to when I began the program, I am a better thinker, problem solver, writer, and leader for America’s Test Kitchen. And if and when I’m ready to branch into another part of industry (inside or outside of food media), my MMH will allow me to pursue those future endeavors.  The professors I learned from were the best part of the program. I enjoyed learning from their own experiences. And like good hospitality professionals they were warm, intelligent, creative, and helpful.
