Janet Goddard

Executive Leadership Coach

Janet Goddard is a leadership coach who combines her senior management, mentoring and team leadership experience with expertise in coaching. With over 25 years of business experience with large, mid-size and start-up companies, Janet’s capabilities include project leadership, team growth and development, coaching within organizational systems and leadership coaching. Most recently, her work has been with startup companies, as well as individuals in transition within financial services, higher ed and tech. She works as a trusted partner, collaborating with her clients to create clarity, focus and priorities for their work and lives.  

Janet’s passion is helping clients discover how to grow and change by expanding their learning edge and capacity to lead. Her warm, practical style is well suited for creating action while driving long-term strategic value.  Janet believes strongly that individuals and teams can only become what they desire to be when they have built a depth of awareness about who they are and why they make the choices they make. She greatly appreciates the opportunity to be a guide in the discovery process.  

Prior to becoming a coach, Janet enjoyed a 20+ year career in account leadership, client service, branding, customer experience and team development. Her career journey included time at DuPont, Sapient, TD/Banknorth, Forum Corporation and C Space, an online, community-based research firm. In addition, Janet has led pro bono teams to aid non-profits with projects to enhance their organizational effectiveness.  

Janet is a graduate of Lehigh University and Duke’s Fuqua School of Business (MBA). She received her training and certification in coaching from Georgetown’s School of Transformational Leadership (ICF certified, ACC). Recently, she was the 2022 Winner of a Business Leader in Human Rights Award for her project work with PAIR.
