I chose BU SHA because of its emphasis on the practical side of learning. I felt as if all that I was taught was aimed at succeeding in the workplace and not simply learning what the textbook has to teach. I have a Bachelor of Arts in the Liberal Arts, so this was very different from the philosophical notion of “learning for the sake of knowledge” that I was accustomed to and was very appealing. One of the most valuable lessons that SHA taught me was how to most effectively “sell” myself and my skills, truly making myself unique and necessary in a very competitive industry. All of the professors have been wildly successful in the industry and this in turn equips them with real world examples and advice, as well as an incredible portfolio of connections that they are more than willing to share with you. They want to see all the MMH students at the top and will provide as much guidance as possible!
