Mel Gamzon

Mel Gamzon is Principal of Senior Housing Global Advisors, a real estate advisory firm that specializes in the seniors housing business. For the past four decades, Mr. Gamzon has assisted both US and international investors with complex real estate and capital market transactions in this sector valued at more than $2 Billion.

Widely recognized in the US as a long-time industry thought leader and transaction advisor, his firms’ practice is focused on working closely with investors, developers and operators to maximize their investment objectives with strategic business plans, acquisitions, dispositions and equity placements. His clients have included many of the major public and private entities in the business including multinational investment interests.

Currently, he is the exclusive seniors housing advisor to an Australian-based global insurance underwriter facilitating their entry into the U.S. seniors housing marketplace. In addition, he serves as a strategic advisor to the innovative KARE staffing technology platform along with their recently formed Mexico-based offshore workforce entity.

Mel was a founder of The American Seniors Housing Association and has served for 30 years on their Executive Board. He has also co-

authored two books on the subject of real estate investments in this sector including a publication with the prestigious Urban Land Institute.
