Job After Graduation – Director of Business Development at RAR Hospitality
I was drawn to hospitality because it’s a fast-paced environment where I can constantly interact with others. Plus the skills learned in the industry are readily transferable to other countries around the world, so I can potentially work while traveling in the future. I chose BU SHA because it’s a smaller sized program, so I knew I would get a more hands on learning experience. Boston is also the perfect place to learn hospitality management because it’s a major tourism destination with plenty of work opportunities. The MMH curriculum prepared me for the ‘real world.’ The degree was the reason I was able to get a management-level job right after graduating. It set my resume apart and is something I can always use as leverage in the future when negotiating employment terms. The best part about the MMH program was the use of technology. All of my professors made a point to integrate current tech into the classroom, which has helped me transition into my career. I also enjoyed working with local hospitality companies for my class projects.
