What are some of your favorite BU memories?

Cooking classes conducted by Jacque Pepin and Julia Child. Greek life with Delta Tau Delta, Study abroad program in Brussels

What was your first full-time job? How did you end up in your current position?

Working for my owner/operator father and grandfather at the Sheraton Pittsburgh. Have been with Destination Hotels since 2006, starting with the company in Jackson Hole as General Manager working up to Area Managing Director in Aspen/Snowmass Village and most recently to Senior Vice President for Destination’s Rental Management division based in Denver

Please describe your current role. How did your SHA education impact your career?

I have responsibility for our rental management division for Destination Hotels. I currently oversee 16 properties in resort destinations located in Hawaii, Vail, and Aspen/Snowmass. I also have responsibilities for growing our business by acquiring new management contracts and currently have several new properties in our pipeline

Any advice for current and prospective students?

Start building your network as soon as you can. Participate in internships/job opportunities outside the US if given the chance. Take advantage of job opportunities in Boston area while in school.
