Learning and Action Workshops: Shared Language

What is the importance of sharing language understanding as we move toward an inclusive and equitable community? Opening the floor to important conversations is essential to the process of creating awareness of ourselves and building a place where people feel safe and included.

In this workshop, we will focus on comprehending terms like Intersectionality, Positionality, Privilege, and Oppression and their impact on our life and job. After this session, you will be able to define, understand and discuss these terms and ideas. You will also be able to identify opportunities to apply these concepts in your role at Boston University.
