Building Sustainable, Energy-Conservative Housing

Enrique SilvaMET Assistant Professor of Urban Affairs and City Planning Enrique Silva was featured in BU Today for his role in the Boston University Madison Park Housing Energy Efficiency project in Roxbury, Mass. Funded by grants from IBM and Wells Fargo, Silva joined Robert Kaufmann, a College of Arts & Sciences professor of earth and environment, Michael Gevelber, a College of Engineering associate professor of mechanical engineering, and Nalin Kulatilaka, the School of Management Wing Tat Lee Family Professor in Management, to research energy consumption among the buildings in Madison Park. The project’s objective is to provide better research findings in order to reduce the cost of energy.
