You don’t need to be a collegiate athlete to enjoy the energizing benefits of a complete, healthy breakfast—or to learn how to make one for yourself.

Chef Chris Douglass, lead instructor in Boston University’s Certificate Program in the Culinary Arts, was recently featured on NESN’s BU Terriers Unleashed, where he provided a lesson on how to make a pair of hearty breakfast meals. Joined by Ethan Okwuosa, of the BU men’s basketball team, Chef Douglass demonstrated the fully teaching capacity of the Groce Pépin Culinary Innovation Laboratory by teaching audiences how to make overnight oats and cottage cheese pancakes, which he called “easy, simple recipes.”

In addition to showing how to separate an egg, Chef Douglass shared the personal history of how he got his start as a food professional. Relating to Okwuosa’s commitment to basketball, he cited passion, dedication, and practice as keys to his career success.
