Role for MET Alumnus in Upcoming Marathon Bombing Survivor BiopicHealth Communication faculty member Tim Sullivan (MET’05), director of communications at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Charlestown, facilitated hospital location filming for the upcoming film Stronger. Based on the bestseller by Marathon bombing survivor Jeff Bauman, the film stars Jake Gyllenhaal and is expected in 2017.

Spaulding treated 32 critically injured Marathon bombing survivors, including Bauman, and scenes filmed in the hospital featured Bauman’s caregivers along with staff and patients. During filming, Sullivan, who earned his master’s in Advertising from MET, found himself suddenly cast in a role as a reporter when he advised actors on how to ask questions like “real” reporters.
