To Karleton's friends and family, may I express my most sincere regrets. I am saddened to think that anyone should endure the pain or loss that you must now feel. As one of the staff members in the admissions office that brought Karleton to to BU, I hope that the days ahead provide you with some comfort as you realize that he was and, in spirit, always will be a part of our community. Peace be with you.

Karleton, you will look down from Heaven upon your child, and your child will feel you and know you're there. Rest in peace.

To Haven and Jackson, my heart goes out to you. My husband is the same age as Karleton and we also have a young son. I can only imagine how heartsick you must be... It makes me so terribly sad and angry. I send you all my love and hope you find the strength that it must take to bear this loss.

I remember Karelton from our Financial Statement Analysis class in 1997. I didn't know him personally, but could tell that he was a very kind person and extremely intelligent. God bless his wife and child and God bless the world.

You were my friend's college buddy when I met you. You became my friend, a short while after. I quickly realized how incredibly fast your sense of humor and powers of observation were, so it was easy to enjoy your company. The last time I saw you was in Brookline. You put us up at your apartment and showed us a great night on the town. You took us back to the rooftop and showed us your awesome view of the city! I never thought we would never hang out and have fun again but I will always remember the good times we had playing hoops, getting pizza or just relaxing in Carrboro or Chapel Hill. I will certainly never forget how good it was to get to know you for such a short time.

I was a Senior IT Recruiter and part of the HR team that hired Karleton at John Hancock in Boston on Sept. 11, 2001. May Karleton’s family find peace today knowing that their son was so well thought of and surely love by many.
