I'm an italian journalist. My name is Marco lo Conte, but the second name of my grandmother was Puopolo. So, right now I feel nearest and nearest at the relatives of the victims of September the 11.

I had the privilege of briefly meeting Mrs. Puopolo several years ago at a local benefit several years ago in Boston. She was a tireless giver to the community and many charitable causes. My heartfelt condolences to her husband and children.

As a chairman of American Cancer Society's Ten Best Dressed Women of Miami event in which Sonia was selected as a recipient in 1999, we extend our heartfelt sympathy to her family at her loss. She was a generous supporter of this event and exuded the Ten Best Dressed creed of "A woman of style and substance" . She will be missed in Miami.

This amazing woman, who gave so much to our country, and most importantly to me, the gift of life, will never be forgotten. Thank you for all your thoughs about my mom.
