Alumna Wins Young Professional Award.
Janine Hill (’01) has received the Young Professional of the Year Award from the Maternal and Child Health Section of the American Public Health Association (APHA).
Hill is the executive director of EverThrive Illinois, the leading statewide organization working to improve the health of women, children, and families.
She is also a PhD candidate in maternal and child health programs, methods, and policy at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and serves in the Maternal and Child Health Section of APHA and on the boards of the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition and McGaw YMCA.
The Young Professional of the Year Award recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to the field of maternal and child health through a specific, particularly creative endeavor, or through outstanding achievement over a number of years.
