Professor to Chair Workers’ Compensation Study Panel.
Les Boden, professor of environmental health, has been appointed chair of the National Academy of Social Insurance (NASI) Workers’ Compensation Study Panel.
Boden, who has served on the panel since 2000, will assume his new role on October 29.
For 20 years, the NASI Workers’ Compensation Study Panel has brought together leading experts in US workers’ compensation to publish the only comprehensive annual report on workers’ compensation systems in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, as well as federal programs.
“Workers’ compensation benefits are critical to the health and financial well-being of people who become injured or ill at work,” Boden says. “I am honored to have been appointed chair of this committee. It serves a critical function in informing legislators and the public about workers’ compensation systems in the US.”
The National Academy of Social Insurance (NASI) is a non-profit, nonpartisan organization made up of the nation’s leading experts on social insurance. Its mission is to advance solutions to challenges facing the nation by increasing public understanding of how social insurance contributes to economic security.
