Suiting Up
Ronald Corley, Medical Campus associate provost for research, describes the process of suiting up to enter a Biosafety Level 4 laboratory to Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino (Hon.’01) (far right) and the press during a tour of BU’s National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories (NEIDL) yesterday. Completed three years ago to study some of the world’s deadliest germs, the facility has remained closed pending environmental safety reviews. In December, preliminary approval was granted for research on less hazardous agents. Photo by Vernon Doucette
