A Revamped FYSOP

For more than 30 years, hundreds of BU freshmen and transfer students have flocked to campus early to participate in FYSOP (First-Year Student Outreach Project), a week of education, service, and reflection organized by BU’s Community Service Center. This year’s project was set up a little differently: on Thursday, August 31, about 400 volunteers, among them Daniel Calvo (CAS’27) (from left), Emma Auth (CAS’27), and Sofie Truck (CAS’27) cleaned up trash, brush, weeds, and more from the Neponset River Reservation and Ryan Park in Boston.
