FYSOP 2023 Opening Ceremony

Newly elected Boston City Councilor Sharon Durkan delivered the opening remarks at the 2023 First-Year Student Outreach Project opening ceremony, held August 30 at the George Sherman Union. Durkan represents District 8 on the City Council, which includes the Charles River Campus. She was particularly excited about speaking at this year’s FYSOP event, she said, because she was at the FYSOP 2016 ceremony as a staffer for Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, then a city councilor. Photo by Jake Belcher
