Empowering Women to Action
The 10th annual Mothers Against Violence National Conference, hosted by the Roxbury-based nonprofit Mothers for Justice & Equality, was held October 17 and 18 at BU’s Hawes Street building in Brookline. BU President Melissa L. Gilliam delivered the keynote address, followed by a meet and greet with conference attendees held by Boston Mayor Michelle Wu (above) and Ruthzee Louijeune, Boston City Council president.
