BUGWU Walkout and Rally, Held on International Workers Day

The BU Graduate Workers Union (BUGWU), which has been on strike since March 25, called on undergrads, faculty, staff, and grad workers to join in a walkout and rally on May 1, International Workers Day.   1. Your “estimates” of the number of people involved in this action are inaccurate.

    I’m a BU gradworker in the sciences, and I used 5 minutes and my image-processing skills to count the number of rally participants in this (cropped) photo of One Silber Way, where you said there were approximately 200 of us. I got about 346.

    Your estimate is about as close to reality as the administration’s current compensation offer is to a living wage.
