In the Works: A Major Expansion of the Coolidge Corner Theatre
The 91-year-old Coolidge Corner Theatre, built as a church in 1906 and redesigned as an Art Deco movie palace in 1933, is undergoing 14,000-square-foot expansion that includes two new state-of-the-art screens, for a total of six screens, an extended first floor lobby, and its first ever Education and Community Engagement Center. A ribbon cutting ceremony for the $14 million expansion was held on March 26. Photo by Jackie Ricciardi
