BU Women of Color Circle Celebrates International Women’s Day
To honor women involved in advancing art, the Women of Color Circle of the BU Women’s Guild held an International Women’s Day Celebration March 28 at the Howard Thurman Center for Common Ground. Free and open to all BU faculty and staff members, it featured performances by renowned dancers, musicians, and poets, a vendor market supporting women-owned businesses from around the globe, with artwork, handmade jewelry, holistic wellness products, vegan dark chocolate, and much more. Among the performers was Sisilia Marpaung (CFA’25), wearing a Papua crown, singing a Biak song, followed by a Bahasa song of Indonesia. Photo by Cydney Scott
