Elizabeth Moss
untitled

I want to go back to bed
I want to wallow in sloth
thick as chocolate
wrap myself in dreams
and comfort and cloth
shut out the shoulds and musts
and needs
stretch in the sun and roll over,
no where to be
nothing to do
today, no fuss
a book and I and maybe later...
I'll face the day, or the night
put on something that makes me
wakes me
takes me back into myself
reminds me of who I want to be
and then...
I'll jump, free
into that life that always seems
to be almost within reach
but just out, a mirage, or a dream
